DDLC Mod | World of Dreams | Act 2 | LIVE Playthrough! (Part 6)
After more than 2 months away from this mod, I have returned to the World of Dreams once again to continue pushing through it! Things really seemed to be escalating last time, so I'm curious to see if things will come to a head today! Some personal notes on my lack of DDLC mod streams lately can be found below, open me!

On a more personal note, this is my first solo DDLC mod stream in over a month, since the end of January, in fact. I think this has to do with me getting burned out on DDLC mods, just a lack of motivation to play them. Don't get me wrong, I love this game, and there's plenty of great mods out there, I've even got some new promising looking ones that caught my eye lined up for their own one off episodes or playthroughs at some point, like Ordo Literato, Clay God and Let this Dream be Forever, but I think the problem I ran into is that by locking myself into playing multiple long mods like this one, Salvation remake, and Undercurrents, on top of all the other games I want to play on the channel, I left myself pretty inflexible on covering new ones, since I don't know how long each of those are going to be, and I don't want to start any more playthroughs until I wrap up some of the ones that I've already started. It's a dilemma that has some layers to it.
That, and with this mod and Salvation Remake in particular, they're pretty divisive mods, with community sentiments towards them being very mixed from what I have seen. I always give every mod I cover on the channel a fair shot, but I lose some motivation to cover mods like this when the attitude towards them leans more towards being negative or divisive like this, since that can to trickle over into the live chat. That's why I'm so hesitant to come back to these mods and either find reasons to put something else in its place that week or just outright cancel that night, because I'd rather spend that time doing something I know I will enjoy rather than have to hear the defenders of a mod sing its praises while the dissenters remind me repeatedly of why they dislike the particular mod I am playing as I work my way through it. That really kills the fun of doing these kinds of streams for me.
Don't misunderstand me, though. I'm not against any of you reading this having your own opinions, in fact I encourage you to do your own research and formulate your own opinions on things, because I don't just want you guys to take what I have to say about a given mod that I play at face value. I'm just some random dude on the internet, after all, I'm no expert on things like game design, writing, art, programming, etc... but I do know them when I see them, and love to shine something of a spotlight on that when I can, so I guess what I'm asking for is for us to be civil when discussing those opinions, or, put simply, just don't be a toxic presence. Thank you.
