Dead Cells – First boss (easy strategy)
79The Incomplete One – I'm not sure whether his name implies that this is not the final version of the boss, but in the meantime, here's an easy strategy that doesn't require any fancy loadout, just a melee weapon and a shield. You're guaranteed to get that in your run, so no excuses.
Just stand next to him and keep mashing the attack button. Whenever an exclamation mark pops up above his head, hold up your shield. The beautiful thing about this strategy is that you don't have to worry which of his three attacks he is about to use, the shield blocks each attack the same way and stuns him. No figuring out in which direction to roll, no jumping over flames, just block.
Only when the Incomplete One casts a shield, take some distance and wait for the shield to disappear (roll past him if necessary). When you're far away from him, dodging his attacks should be easy. When he reaches back like he's about to fling a dog up into the air by its tail, that's when he will send a shockwave (jump over it). When he ducks, he is about to jump towards you (roll past him).
