Dead Cells Hattori’s Katana exploit move! (Definitely read description)
So let me explain what I know about this glitch: This weapon Hattori’s Katana, my favorite in the game so far, allows you to slash a cool sword, and if you hold the button you use to slash he will slash, and then kinda wait for a second, and then DASH instantaneously! The dash slash does lots of damage and you can dash behind your opponent(s) and kill them all anime fight style, so cool!
Here I found a way to make it so you can dash without the original slice!
You do the slice, then when you get into a little stance/pause before the dash slash, jump to cancel out of it (I you double jump he’ll do the move), then land on the ground, and jump again (if you wait too long before the second jump he’ll do the move), and then you’re free to walk around. But from what I can understand, despite the fact that you’ve canceled out of it twice, allowing you to move freely, the game still understands you’ve done a slash, and a pause, so you have to do a dash next. So, the next time you hit the button, BAM! DASH! Without any wait too! This is all super consistent and nice, but this dash only does the damage of a normal slash funny enough (despite having the massive hitbox of the dash, and counting as a critical hit still). This is where you get to the less consistent stuff- you can do two dashed IN A ROW, with no normal slash.
I’m not entirely sure how this is done, basically you do the first exploit dash, then hold the button, and there are two things I remember that I think(?) helped me (always hold the button in either case). One: after the first slash waiting a bit, then pressing forward and then back really fast, and bam! Two: Double tapping the button AS FAST AS I CAN for the first slice, then holding the button the entire time, and dashing a second time.
I’ve got a better (I think) version of this exploit coming in a video tomorrow (I think). And just like this one, it has a part that (to even more extent this time) I have no idea what makes it work, and then a part that is super consistent. That vid will also have me attacking enemies, which I had to cut out of this vid for a better showcase.
