Dead Island (and most other zombie-slaying franchises) are more GrrlGotGame's bag than mine, but I do like a good zombie bash-and-slash now and again. We actually played an early version of Dead Island 2 at PAX some 9 years ago, but I think the whole thing was scrapped and rebuilt since then as none of this is familiar. My intro playthrough of the Gold Edition includes the backstory, character selection, and early tutorial phases - all the way to the mansion of a popular Hollywood scream queen who offers you sanctuary.
