My first Wii component upload, yay!

Dead Rising Chop 'Till You Drop is a remake of the 2006 Dawn of the Dead inspired 360 version of the same name. It got alot of flack from the critics mainly because it removed the core concepts behind the original game including the full, real-time freedom to play Dead Rising as you see fit. Although most people were more quick just to disregard it because of the lower zombie count and weaker capabilities of the Wii.

Admittedly, the presentation isn't the ace of Dead Rising on Wii but the dumb gameplay sure is. Though personally I sought after the Wii version of Dead Rising because it primerly fixed the unfair learning curve the game originally had on 360. It also made it possible to see what you were doing too on a SD TV (which helped spark a number of migraines I had back two to three years ago). So I think people were unfair to quickly judge Chop 'Till You Drop without really taking either point into account.

If you've played Resident Evil 4 on Wii, you'll find Dead Rising also to be very similar. The control layout is practically the same and it uses the same graphics engine for the better or for the worse (I still think it doesn't do too bad of a job considering the Wii's hardware). And it also features the shop system aswell as a variety of weapons from that game too. So basically if you like Resident Evil 4, give this a try!

But in all seriousness, I think this one is worth a rental at the very least. Don't take everything you hear from Kotaku or Gametrailers as the definitive truth.
