Red Steel (Wii)
One of the most under-rated Wii titles I've played.
Red Steel was perhaps the most hyped of all games designated for the Wii launch back in November 2006. Sources like Nintendo Official Magazine were even quick to call it the Goldeneye of this generation. Admittedly, the hate for Red Steel is only apparent because of the sword fighting. For ages Ubisoft made it seem like the sword play would be available from beginning to end, sort of in the sense of Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on Xbox. Yet when Red Steel was finally released the sword fighting was only duel based and felt alot slower than it should of been really.
Some presentation flaws aside, I had no other problems with Red Steel. Whoever said the controls of Red Steel sucked is an absolute liar! They're very functional and work as how'd you expect. I think otherwise it is a solid FPS with some decent production values: fantastic graphics, music and a sizeable story.
Even after nearly four years of being on the market, I still think this is worth playing.
