13Dead Space 2 is a third-person action-horror video game developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts. Released in 2011, it is the direct sequel to the acclaimed game Dead Space.
The story of Dead Space 2 takes place three years after the events of the first game, and follows Isaac Clarke, a space engineer, as he fights for survival on a space station called the Sprawl, which has been overrun by a terrifying alien infestation known as the Necromorphs.
Isaac wakes up in a straitjacket amidst an outbreak of Necromorphs, and must find a way to escape while battling the grotesque and horrific creatures that have infested the station. Throughout the game, he faces frightening and violent challenges, as well as having to deal with his own sanity as he is plagued by visions and hallucinations caused by a mysterious entity known as The Marker.
The game offers intense gameplay, with visceral combat and survival mechanics, where the player needs to manage scarce resources such as ammo and healing items, while dismembering Necromorphs in search of their weak points. In addition, Isaac has futuristic weapons and a device called Stasis, which can slow down time to gain an advantage over enemies.
