Originally released back in 2008 the original Dead Space was and still is a cult hit, spawning three (mixed) sequels and even an animated prequel movie. Sadly though, the series ended with Dead Space 3, which while it wasn't a bad game no, it did step away from survival horror into a gears of war action esq title.
Now in 2023, Dead Space has been remade for modern audiences, similar to how Resident Evil 2 was remade back in 2019. BUt, Dead Space in 2008 isn't a bad looking or playing game, so why remake it? and really the main question too is it worth remaking a cult classic title that’s not quite old enough for a remake?
