Outdated cliches aside, this is probably the first and last time I'll be playing this game as I really can't stand playing horror games no matter how good they are. Here we have Isaac Clarke, a normal repairman who's forced to jump into action as a space ship they're supposed to fix becomes infested with abominations with unknown Origin. *ba-dum-tss!*
We are used to the tradition of hitting the target's center of mass to deal massive damage. It's a completely different case here in Dead Space. Here we target the limbs instead to inflict death to these beasties. The weapon's reticule can be lined up horizontally or vertically in order to hit those parts and kill enemies without losing much ammo. Alongside your gun is the stasis field, which you can use to slow down time. Pretty useful in solving puzzles as well in combat, giving you enough time to line up your shots. Take note though that with great power lies great responsibility in using it economically, as it drains energy quickly.
