0How to deal with the Dreamthralls, where to find them, and a guide for that step in the That Which Remains quest are all covered in this Avowed video. I’ll take you to the Scaedclef Grotto in the Shatterscarp region, southeast of the Sulfur Mines Basecamp, where I progressed this side quest after investigating the grotto. I reached the cage with the Dreamscourge-affected people deep inside the grotto, having thrown a grenade at a breakable wall near the cobwebs to get there. After speaking with the survivors in the adjacent room, I faced a decision: kill the Dreamthralls, promise to get provisions, or attack the survivors. I chose to deal with the Dreamthralls, unbarred the cage door, and fought them off with my companions’ help, using fire spells to exploit their weakness and avoid their chaotic attacks. Once defeated, I returned to the survivors, suggested they head to Eagle’s Reach for safety, and earned 900 gold and some XP. Alternatively, sparing them and fetching provisions from Captain Wymgar at Eagle’s Reach also rewards 900 gold and XP if they remain alive.
