In this type of questions, you are given the necessary qualifications required to be fulfilled by a candidate for a certain vacancy in job/promotion/facility, along with the bio-data of certain candidates who have applied for the same. You have applied for the same. You are then required to assess the candidate’s eligibility or potential and thereby decide upon the action to be taken from among the given alternatives.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES
Example 1. Study the following information carefully to answer the questions given below:
Following are the conditions for selecting Chief Manager-Marketing in an organisation:
The candidate must
(i) be at least 35 years old as on 1-2-2010.
(ii) have secured at least 55 per marks in graduation.
(iii)have secured at least 60 per cent marks in post-graduate degree/diploma in Marketing Management.
(iv)have post-qualification work experience of at least 10 years in the Marketing Division of an organization.
(v) have secured at least 50 per cent marks in the selection process.
In the case of a candidate who satisfies all the above conditions EXCEPT.
(A) at (iv) above, but has post-qualification work experience of at least six years as Manager -Marketing, the case is to be referred to Head-Marketing Division.
(B) at (ii) above, but has secured at least 65 per cent marks in post graduate degree/diploma in Marketing Management, the case is to be referred to GM-Marketing.
In each question below are given the details of one candidate. You have to take one of the following courses of action based on the information provided and the conditions and sub-conditions given above and mark the number of that course of action as your answer. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question. All these are given to you as on 01-02-10.

A. if the candidate is to be selected.
B. if the candidate is to be referred to Head-

C. if the case is to be referred to GM-Marketing.
D. if the candidate is not to be selected.
E. if the data provided are inadequate to take a decision.
