We get a cutscene where Lademis and Grant visit the Meister in order to access the Sidereal Eye, supposedly in order to prepare for the wedding but really to place the Catalyth. They also warn the Meister about Seth coming over. However, Shylock suspects something is amiss.

Sleep in any room to continue the story. You should visit Hawk to get the rewards for opening chests. Note that Ismail is too heavily guarded, so no using the ferry to break sequence.
Go to Krisa Mountain to fight the hunt boss. You should be ready by now.

I didn't realize this until rewatching, but it's easier to go into the second map and take the upper-right exit to get to the Gaia Shard. The cutscene made me scared that it would lock me out.
Seth tries to make his case to Valiant, but this falls on deaf ears. Valiant uses a syringe from Hogarde that boosts his abilities further.

He starts the fight with a buff, but he's also an Aberration type now, which means Martia can target his weakness. He will reapply the buff when his HP gets low.

Valiant dies, but he hopes that Seth was telling the truth so that his death won't be in vain.
In the castle, Seth again tries to make his case and swears to turn himself in after Grant is defeated, but the Meister doesn't believe him.

I don't remember if any optional dialogue explained the Meister's combat capabilities, but he's definitely an expert with his grenade launcher, which can inflict AOE debuffs. At low HP, he can use his EX, though I killed him before he could activate it.

Meister dies realizing that Seth was telling the truth, but is glad that his star soldier finally has his motivation again. The Sabbaths take us to an elevator to get into the Sidereal Eye space station.

Be sure to use the Atlas that Meister dropped to make Ferion a new weapon. He needs the OAS slot so he can equip Falco and overcome his accuracy issues. Also, get the red chest at Chesterfield's house.
