Defunct Games Attempts Sketch Comedy (Super Cut)
I'm currently hard at work reviewing a bunch of games and putting the finishing touches on our new Video Games & Computer Entertainment Best & Worst series, but I got a little sidetracked by a new YouTube channel that just launched. I'm talking about ALOTOFTHINGS, which is hosted by friend of Defunct Games, Carlos Rodela, and deals with, well, a lot of things. One of those things is sketch comedy, which is something I dabbled in a long, long time ago. You see, back when I first started this YouTube channel, I hoped to write and produce a lot of comedy shorts that skewered both the games industry and the life of being a critic. This largely went by the wayside as I focused on our popular EGM and Nintendo Power shows and increased the review coverage. But thanks to Carlos, I've been thinking a lot about those early skits.
Because we only had a few hundred subscribers back when I posted them and most of you haven't seen these sketches, I figured it might be fun to do a super cut of all of our early comedy shorts. It's also my birthday this weekend and I kind of want to duck out early, but I still think you'll get a kick out of today's video. And who knows, maybe if you guys like it, I'll be inspired to make more of these. Let me know.
All right, that's enough of me talking, let's take a look at some of the earliest comedy videos posted on Defunct Games. I think you're going to dig this.
