Here's how to Delete or remove Windows.old folder after Windows Upgrade in Windows 10.

The Windows.old folder contains the previous version of Windows on your device. It is created when you upgrade from a previous version of Windows to Windows 10. It can take up a lot of space on your hard drive, but it also allows you to roll back to the previous version if you encounter any problems with the new one.

If you want to delete or remove the Windows.old folder after Windows upgrade in Windows 10, you can use one of these methods:

- Use Storage Sense in the Settings app. This is the easiest method and it will also delete other temporary files that are no longer needed. To use this method, follow these steps:
- Open Settings and click on System.
- Click on Storage and then click on Temporary files under the Storage sense section.
- Check the Previous Windows installation(s) option and any other option that you want to delete.
- Click on Remove files and wait for the process to complete.
- Use Disk Cleanup tool. This is a legacy tool that can also delete the Windows.old folder and other system files. To use this method, follow these steps:
- Open File Explorer and right-click on the drive where Windows 10 is installed (usually C:).
- Select Properties and then click on Disk Cleanup under the General tab.
- Click on Clean up system files and wait for the scan to finish.
- Check the Previous Windows installation(s) option and any other option that you want to delete.
- Click on OK and then Delete Files to confirm.

Note: Before you delete the Windows.old folder, make sure that you don't need to roll back to the previous version of Windows. Once you delete it, you won't be able to undo the upgrade. Also, if it's been less than 10 days since you upgraded to Windows 10, Windows will automatically delete the Windows.old folder for you. If you want to keep it longer, you can use a command prompt to extend the retention period up to 60 days.
