24In this part we explore Scuttle Town, the Pumpkin Fields, and the Lilac Fields. We then enter the Tangle Forest to get Rottytops' help in tracking down Risky Boots. We then rescue a Puppy from Rottytops before trading it to its owner for a Meal, we then use said meal to gain access to the first dungeon.

- In this game there are floor panels called Jump Pads that we will be using to jump into the foreground or background of our current location. These can easily be used by simply jumping while standing on one.
- The Item Shop has some familiar items for sale from the previous game. However, their upgraded forms, as well as other items, are locked behind a collectible type called Magic Jam. These collectibles are scattered across Sequin Land similar to Fireflies from the previous game.
- Items are now permanent and do not need to be consistently purchased to use. However, we now have a Magic Meter that depletes upon each use of an item. We can find green jars to replenish our magic inside of urns.
- As we no longer use dances for warping, we now have Warp Squids to transport us from tower to tower. However, they can only be used once we've woken them up.
