39Welcome to Paranormal Syndrome - R - Dolls Edition, a VX Ace remake of the first chapter of the original game in RPG Maker 2000 by Nao/Season of Twilight.
Partially in English, majority in Japanese and I can't read Japanese (yet...) so this is going to be a different commentary experience where I just talk about Paranormal Syndrome as a game and why I feel this was one of the most fun experiences of a let's play that I performed.
The game in RPG Maker 2000 showed a wonderful dish of horror that I haven't seen within a RPG Maker game before, being very orientated with Japan, urban legends that are localised to Japan, the cultural style of housing, clothing and the overall schematics of the game. Mikoto Himeno is also one of my favorite protagonists due to her unbinding will at the end of the full game.
This remake in VX Ace is not just a remake, there is new content within the game that surrounds Chapter 1 that I have not seen before, including new rooms and events, but it is only Chapter 1 and it is unknown if the developer will also recreate the other chapters, even more unlikely so an English translation of this bit of the game.
