Dell has updated its Alienware m17 R5 and Alienware x17 R2 gaming laptops. Now they are also available with displays with a refresh rate of 480 Hz. This applies to models with 17-inch screens and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. True, for this version you will have to pay $ 300 on top of the price of a regular model with a 165 Hz screen.

According to the company, the new display has a response time of 3ms, support for AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync technology, as well as Dolby Vision.

The Alienware m17 R5 is available in the US for $1,568 and up. This gaming laptop model is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT graphics, up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and two M.2 PCIe NVMe storage slots up to 4TB.

The Dell Alienware x17 R2 is equipped with Intel processors up to Core i9-12900HK and graphics up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. It's available now for $2,205 and up. Prices for models with a screen of 480 Hz will be 1868 and 2505 dollars, respectively.
