Dell Helps PhonePe Go Green
0The PhonePe Dell facility was created using cutting-edge Smart Cooling Technology and 35% recyclable materials. Alternative cooling methods, such as Direct Contact Liquid Cooling and Liquid Immersion Cooling, were used in the construction and design of the 4.8 MW plant, which is located in Mahape, Navi Mumbai. The servers from Dell Technologies will operate more efficiently while offering improved performance, streamlined management, and intelligent automation.
"This data centre will not only help in further seamlessly scaling our business but also help in reducing our carbon footprint." Officials from Dell Technologies claim that the green data centre will provide PhonePe with new prospects for data management through effective data security, power efficiency, operational simplicity, and cloud solutions. The Navi Mumbai facility's power use effectiveness, a statistic used to assess a data center's energy efficiency, is anticipated to be 1.27, which is lower than the industry average for air-cooled data centres of 1.6.
According to ICRA, India's data centre capacity is expected to increase fivefold over the next five years. As opposed to the industry norm of 1.6 for air-cooled data centres, the power use effectiveness statistic used to assess a data center's energy efficiency is predicted to be 1.27. According to Gupta, the introduction of 5G has established a new digital highway that will highlight several new use cases.
