This is not a traditional unboxing video. It is not made with expensive camera or in studio. I just bought a new monitor for myself and decided to share with you some information about it.
This is a 43" flat monitor, the brand is Dell. I'm not going to enumerate all of its features, because you can find them in the Dell website or in any webshop. The most important keywords here:

- resolution: 3840 x 2160
- built in speakers
- IPS panel
- a lot of ports in the back

- you can decide to use it with its own stand or mount it on a vesa 10x10 or 20x20 cm stand

The video was made with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, so you can consider this as a hybrid test (monitor + phone camera).

Installing the monitor is not that difficult, just take it out of the box, mount the stand, plug in the power cable and the Display Port (HDMI and Mini Display Port is also available) and that's it. If you have the possibility, call someone to help you taking the monitor out of the box, because it is quite heavy. At the end of the video you'll find some measurements of the display sizes.

An annoying issue with the monitor is the reflection of the edges, which cover about one mouse cursor width (around 20 pixels) both on top, bottom, left and right side of the screen. So it will hide from specific angles the scrollbars of a window or the bottom side of the taskbar (so you will hardly notice which program is running). This can be fixed by turning on the Underscan option from the on-screen display, however, it will make the fonts and everything smaller.

A good point is that you can show four full hd resolution window in the same time, so if you are working as a professional designer / video cutter / programmer / architect, etc. then this is your monitor. The colors are quite vivid, in Standard mode, but it can tire the eyes. Switching to Paper mode makes whites a bit more look like yellow, but with this setting you can work all day long with the monitor.

The speaker is really good. Don't compare it with headphones or expensive speakers, because they are not in the same league. My previous monitor was a Benq 24" IPS with 1W speakers. Its speakers were acceptable when it was silence around, but in a noisy environment I couldn't understand what was said in a movie or in an online conversation (even in 100% volume). The Dell P4317Q monitor has 2 x 8W speakers, so it can be quite loud if you want. I use it with 50% volume in the monitor settings and around 24% in the windows master volume settings and it is still much louder than my previous display. You will find some examples in the second part of the video.

The first half of the video is the unboxing and installation. I use one computer with the monitor, but the monitor can support up to four different devices and show them in the same time as split screen.
The second half contains two 3dmark 11 tests, with full settings (that's why it is lagging). It was recorded in 3840x2160 resolution and it ran around 15 FPS in average. Later I tried the same, but in Full HD, and it was around 90 FPS. My computer is not at all for gaming, with Intel i7-3770 CPU (not overclockable!), but with a good video card, MSI GeForce 1080 with 8GB RAM. So that explains these results.

The third is the Unigine benchmark with full settings, which runs quite smooth (around 22-25 FPS).
