27This is the updated version of "FUN".
Here is a concept I had for Gaster taking control of the vessel and using it to exist in the physical world (since he is unable to do that at the current moment, only talking to us in the meta-depth-space). Specifically, this is in chapter 6 (which I completely rewrote), after you die to the Knight's Nike swoosh of doom, you get sent to Gaster's Knight game over screen except that it's actually a physical dark world you can walk around in, and that's what the second half of the chapter is before you go back to face the Knight.
I personally believe Gaster is the one who discarded the vessel, btw. People don't interrupt each other by completing sentences, and we've seen characters other than Gaster ("Temmie", "Sans", "Spamton") "break character" from their unique text styles.
And so the logic continued, if Gaster discarded the vessel, there was clearly some purpose to having us make it anyway. So what if that purpose was so HE could exist in the world?
