A playthrough of an old java cellphone game that I stumbled on years ago while looking for Castlevania clones. It is by a Chinese company called LeTang, and I have found the game under two different titles: 赤裸魔女-生人勿近 (seems to machine translate to Naked Witch - Keep Away from Strangers) and 猎魔高手-无敌英豪 (seems to machine translate to Demon Hunter - Invincible Hero). I don't know which one of these names came first, or which one is "correct", and the only difference seems to be that they have different title screens. Years ago I uploaded some rips to Spriters Resource under the name "Demon Hunting Expert - Peerless Hero", I assume Google Translate gave me slightly different results back then.

It appears to be the second game I've found by this company, as the protagonist Rhea shares her moveset with the protagonist of the other game, Rebecca. There are even some leftovers of Rebecca's sprites in the data. However, I don't think there is any connection between the two games storywise.

While this game isn't all that Castlevania-like, it does feature the save point statue from Order of Ecclesia as a shop, and Alucard's gargoyle form as a teleporter. There's also an NPC who looks suspiciously like the DXC version of Richter...

I translated this years ago with the help of a user on the Castlevania Fighter forums, Cassie (also known as ArmoredRaven on Discord). However, the text could not be inserted back into the game files, as the text boxes appear to be programmed to accept a certain number of characters. Putting in the English text messes up the cutscenes in various ways, so I will have to make do with subtitles on the video. However, I was able to translate parts of the menus and help text to make it a bit more playable.

I don't fully remember why I spelled Peart's name that way, but it rhymes with "ear", rather than "pearl".

Some quirks about this game:
-The controls are pretty clunky. Platforming is especially tough.
-There's different upgrading systems that I don't fully get. I was figuring them out as I recorded this, so sorry for the time that adds to the playthrough.
-Also I got lost a couple times. It's not always clear where to go, especially when I can't read the dialogue. Sorry about that as well, haha.
-There's no sound effects, and only one constantly looping song through the whole thing.
-Not sure why the title screen options aren't appearing, it may have something to do with how I inserted the English text. The non-hacked version of the game that I have displays them just fine.
-Yes, that really is how the game ends.
