AKA: Gargoyles quest 3 SNES Released:1994
This game has 1 of the most epic 16bit game intro's I've ever seen. The intro to both the title screen and intro in game.

Demon's Crest starring that annoying red demon that stole thousands of quarters in the arcades in Ghosts and Goblins, Firebrand (AKA: "Red Arremer"). Everyone might hate getting killed by this guy in other games but in this game he's an awesome character.

This game is similar to Megaman 2/Castlevania/Metroid where you must explore to progress and find/use/buy items and defeat bosses to progress and there are shops with magic and items for sale. You start the game weak but its all about powering up to kill the last boss so you can become very powerful if you put in the time to collect all the hidden items. Don't want to spoil it but if you like the sound of a Megaman/Castlevania/Metroid this will be a must play for anyone that hasn't played it and i strongly recommend exploring other areas when you don't know where to go instead of looking it up online, going through this game without any online information to help you and exploring is a big part of the game that will be ruined if you use a walkthrough.

If you come into this game with a walkthrough it will not last long it can be beat in an hour or 2. This game has a password system to keep your progress and it does expect a bit of grinding money in town Castlevania style but it doesn't take long. This game has an item system that feels RPG inspired and you do become more powerful and unlock more abilities as you go, earning equipped items and magic like an RPG but there is no XP points or leveling up. Id describe this genre as an action RPG mixed with a platformer.

I don't feel i have to say much about the graphics and sound just check it out its as good as it gets on the SNES without using a helper chip or pre rendered graphics, the controls are good there not 100% perfect but they are better than a lot of other 16 bit games. Also YOU are the main character in the story for the game and it has a very unique twist and ending to it that is very unlike most game endings(the story can be clicked through quickly if you don't care). This game is a perfect example of the uniqueness that made the 16 bit console era so interesting that you never see being made today. There are multiple endings for alot of replay value.
