Demon's Souls - Soul Level 1. Archdemons and Pure White World Tendency Events. Dragon God, Old Monk
Demon's Souls - Soul Level 1. Archdemons and Pure White World Tendency Events. Dragon God, Old Monk, Storm King, Maiden Astraea and Garl Vinland. Demon's Souls Soul Level 1 Walkthrough!
In order to proceed further into Boletarian Palace, we need to defeat an Archdemon. Only then will the colorless fog dissipate and we can enter 1-3 to take on the Penetrator. It's a good thing we have prepared by getting to the Archdemon in the other 4 worlds.
In this long video (sorry!), we will take on the Dragon God, Old Monk, Storm King, and Maiden Astraea and Garl Vinland. But wait, there's more. Since doing so will put us into Pure White World Tendency in all of these zones, we will also be completing their associated events; Retrieving the Dragon Bone Smasher for Scirvir the Wanderer in Stonefang Tunnel, rescuing Lord Rydell from his cell in Latria, dueling Satsuki for the ownership of the Makoto, and defeating Black Phantom Garl Vinland and displaying his crest to his sister, Selene.
I never intended for this to be a Demon's Souls Walkthrough, but by golly, it nearly is a complete walkthrough! We've been discussing strategy, not leaving any optional bosses alive, and even tackling all of the pure white and pure black world tendency events. Ok, this is now the official Demon's Souls Soul Level 1 Walkthrough. Enjoy!
I have completed Dark Souls 1 and the majority of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin and Dark Souls 3 at base level, soul level 1. However, in Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, I have little to no practice in this type of challenge, so this will be interesting.
If any of you have attempted this challenge in any of the games, you may know that it's not actually as hard as it sounds, and I'm hoping watching my gameplay of the Soulsborne games proves that to you. It actually teaches you how to read attacks and to strategize. Playing at base level/soul level 1/blood level 4 makes you try out new attack combinations, weapons that you maybe never thought were viable and teaches you how to exploit weaknesses. It's a lot of fun.
This challenge is going to take some time. We will play through Demon's Souls, then Dark Souls 1, then Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, then Dark Souls 3, and finally Bloodborne. This is only a once a week series (Saturdays) and will not interfere with any current or upcoming project.
Your tips, tricks, and advise is always welcome. If you notice in my gameplay that there is an area I can improve on, like my parry timing in Demon's Souls, let's discuss it in the comments section!

Demon's Souls from Wikipedia
Demon's Souls (デモンズソウル Demonzu Souru?) is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware, under supervision by SCE Japan Studio, for the PlayStation 3. It was published in Japan by Sony Computer Entertainment on February 5, 2009, in North America by Atlus on October 6, 2009, and in Australia and Europe by Namco Bandai Games in June 2010. It is the first installment in what became the Souls series of games.
Set in a dark fantasy world, players take control of a hero who has journeyed to the fictional kingdom of Boletaria, which is being ravaged by a cursed fog that brings forth demons who feast on the souls of mortals. The game has been described as a spiritual successor to the King's Field series of games. The gameplay involves a character-creation system and emphasizes gathering loot through combat with enemies in a non-linear series of varied locations. It has a unique online multiplayer system integrated into the single-player where players can leave useful messages and warnings for other players' single-player game worlds, as well as joining other players in their world to assist and/or kill them.
Upon its release, Demon's Souls was met with acclaim from critics, winning numerous awards. The game was praised for its dark fantasy art design, variation in combat choice and integrated online interactions. The game is particularly notable for its high difficulty level, with many critics noting it as a genuine challenge. The game Dark Souls, which itself spawned two sequels, is a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, and was also one of the primary inspirations for Bloodborne.
