It feels a bit more clunky than Shinobi and while i know i can do much better on the boss fight than i did (infact i did do much better in practice), and i could've killed all the enemies if i hadn't despawn a few at one point, i have 3 issues with the game controls that made things awkward to me:
1. Dash movement just sucks. I felt like i had more control with it in Shinobi than i did here. I struggle on even side dashing around enemies, it doesn't work great here.
2. My movement is just heavily slowed down unless i dash and jump. If i'm on the ground, my character just very slowly tip toes around, which considering this is suppose to be a fast paced game, is REALLY bad.
3. Lock on sucks. I am unable to switch targets without letting go of the lock on. The game will sometimes choose to lock on to enemies that i don't want to go for or are further away than closer ones. It screws me up a few times, honestly.
An additional problem is the walls, as you can attach to them easily, but then it's just really awkward and difficult to get off the wall during combat. The jump doesn't work right with it and dashing doesn't do any favors either, so it hurts the movement too.
I like how stylish the game is and i appreciate how cool it is with things. Heck, the fact i got an A rank both in my practice and in this recording shows that this isn't really a bad game to play to me as i can quickly get used to it... but its more jank than the game before it.
