DEPRESSED MAN SQUATS 15/8/21 (2nd deload split cycle since mock meet PR which absolutely wrecked us)
00:00 ZERO PRs FEELS DELOAD MAN
12:54 ENDETZIT
Deload split cycle 2. First cycle we hit 60 kg squat (lmao) and 147.5 kg deadlift with much less volume.
After another group mock meet where we hit some PRs we were absolutely WRECKED! 127.5 kg squat (tried 131.1 kg failed), 76.5 kg bench PR, 156.5 kg deadlift (tried 167.5 kg failed), for a 360.5 kg (794.7 lbs) total PR (+22.5 kg). Was absolutely wrecked for a week after though, then our ongoing sickness returns. Weather is fucked in Australia, we're cursed with kitava -60% cold res and cant handle it. Trainings tough as were burning up then freezing.
We wanted to add bench to squat day to not have such massive gaps, but our wrists were fucking maxed with our ghetto high low bar. Still keep defaulting to high bar. Also thought we'd just add snatch and clean practice to ab day, but its more demanding then the rest of out splits combined lmao. Going to have to drop ab day for it. Most important exercise from ab day is suspended weighted knee raises for decompression, but we do pull ups on another day so we still have at least one of that type.
In other news weve been feeling so good lately were going to take a break from antidepressants (fluoxetine+mirtazapine). Cold turkey of course, DONT DO THIS (TAPER OFF), but im a professional antidepressant taker. Also we recently discovered our depression might have been exacerbated by undiagnosed sleep apnea (also known as LARGE GAY BEAR SYNDROME). Been trying to sleep w/o pillow to keep airway open and only sleep on back/side. Still waiting for a proper sleep study. We'll see how much weight we lose from mirtazapine appetite/storage (RIP GAINS)
Been on current cycle for about 2.5 years, we want to make a video about antidepressants (also depression) because I feel their demonized as permanent brain/genital damage and weve tried a lot of them/"therapy"/strong opinions. While I dont think their for everyone and shouldnt be taken lightly, I do think they have their uses. Unfortunately a lot of psychs dont care also never used them/no concept of depression so are useless (should someone whos never had depression be qualified to talk about it?). Because its a serious topic though Id want to do a proper job and im finding it hard to focus on anything at the moment.
