Star Wars Battlefront is the Third Game in the Battlefront Series. This time instead of the action having a third person perspective, it's been switched to the First person. Along with that, the battle sizes have shrunk a tad too. Instead of having larger scale ground battles with lots of AI, we have smaller, more focused battles.
And Ill be honest...I really wasn't feeling that at first. I was a little upset that the scope of the game changed. But upon playing the game, and looking back at the footage (Specifically The Walker Assault Variant) There was literally action 24/7 happening all around me. This was a 20v20 game variant and I felt like the map and objective was perfect for that. Not a dull moment to be had. It felt more intense than Battlefield which is 32v32.
We also played the 8v8 mode, which essentially is about claiming a pod drop. Its not nearly as intense, but it puts the focus on 1v1's a lot more which is acceptable. I wish they had more modes open during the Beta
My one Major Gripe with the game, which we discussed in the video, is the way the gunplay works a bit. When you fire the bullets dont immediately hit the Target (A la Call of Duty) Its the difference between hit scan and projectile scan. You have to actually account for movement and predicting the enemies location. It's a bit of a pain at first. I can't see its a fault in the game because it was built with that intended, but it is a gripe for me because Im not use to it. Hence why in this video you see me sticking to the sniper and burst firing the Rifle. I could not get a hang of the Automatic Rifle
