This is the creator playthrough of Descent Vignettes. A 25 level (+ 2 secret) set for Descent 1. It can also be played in D2X-XL in which this video is displaying. D2X-XL adds graphical enhancements such as smoke, coronas, colored lighting, tracers, hi-res textures, models, and more! For this set of videos, I am displaying my own, custom-made Quake hi-res texture pack specifically for use with the D2X-XL program when playing Descent 1.
This series of videos is played on Trainee for various reasons, It helps me in showing some nice dog-fighting sequences where in higher skill levels, I'd be a lot more timid in my fighting tactics. Here are some notes concerning this video:
1) Due to the intense nature of this game while recording and some hardware issues, I couldn't record sound, so instead I overlayed the proper level music so you could at least hear what you'd be listening to while playing the level.
2) There is some jumping and jittering in various videos at certain points, that's simply my computer trying to keep up recording this graphically intensive game.
