2Part 25 - The Ballad of Giovanni.
Now that Mitch and his Pokemon gang have 7 badges, they go to Viridian City, only to find out that the gym is locked. However, Paul Burnell to take them back to Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town where the Pokemon Professor introduces us to his grandson, Blue (aka Gary Oak). Once Mitch gets a Mega Stone (which causes certain Pokemon to Mega evolve), the gang go to Veridian City gym where the gang go through the trainers until they encounter the gym leader who is none other than Giovanni himself. After an intense battle, Giovanni is defeated one last time and the former Rocket leader departs to focus on Pokemon training, Blue then goes into the gym as Giovanni's successor and the part ends. Next time, the road to the Pokemon League begins.
