Common Desktop Environment is one of the early GUI desktops for Unix, it started out life in 1993, and has never really moved on in terms of styling and features.
In 2012 it was released as FOSS and has been ported to a few Linux distros, including: Arch, Fedora, Cent OS, and Debian.
