It is now possible to access the Vault from anywhere in Destiny 2... again. This was apparently a glitch that managed to slip through when Season of the Wish launched, probably due to the Vault now being accessable from Orbit, but it was removed over a month ago since it was quite buggy apparently. As of yesterday, Bungie added the 'feature' back into the game *on purpose* due to it's good reception originally!
