Getting started in the world of Destiny, questions come up like how do I power level, and the simple answer is public events for their quick XP and loot drops. But to maximize your time to XP gain, there is an item that you can acquire called the Fireteam Medallion. This gives you a 20(ish)% buff to your XP gains, and applies to your whole Fireteam. But there are issues, and questions that remain.
