Destiny - Weapon Balance Changes - April update - Last word, Sniper Rifles, Exotics and more
7Hey guys lots of balancing to weapons overall.
Auto Rifles – High rate of fire – Doctrine – base dmg is coming down a tiny bit.
Slow rate of fire – Suros coming up a tiny bit.
Her Memory, new queens weapon – slow rate of fire with dmg bump.
Pulse rifles – low rate of fire Spare Change – base dmg coming up a tiny bit.
Hand Cannon – Increasing ammo inventory.
Fusion Rifles – Blanket Stability increase across the board. As the projectiles leave the barrel should be a tighter grouping, more accurate with your shots.
Sniper Rifles – Precision Long ranged was the intended. Zoom distance on scopes, Short scopes have been changed to see further, close range engagements will be tougher. Longview SLR 10, Ambush, Shortgaze.
2 frames of zoom time. Snapshot grants 20% zoom time, used to be 30%. Reduced stability on snipers.
Exotics – Mida Multi Tool – has been dominant in all PVP since bringing it back. Removing high caliber rounds. Less disruption on shots.
Suros Regime – Little better with dmg boost. Spinning up is popular was too deadly with dmg boost, but 4 bullets later. Focused Fire got a range buff, with range buff options can max range.
Hawkmoon – Simple change, increase the range and improved accuracy.
Last Word – Took the dmg down on the last word. Perk bonus dmg on hip firing has been lowered. Down to a three shot kill from 2 head shot hip fire kill.
Thorn – Still year 1 weapon. Minimized the DOT dmg, each pulse is lower in its dmg, 4 pulses instead of 6. Less intense poison look.
Ice Breaker – Year 1 still only. Ammo Economy changes. If you switch ammo away from ice breaker you lose it. Long range was intended, handling down and zoom went out. Side
Dregs Promise – Projeciles now track based on ADS lock, no audio but you lock and then they fire.
Telesto – Projectiles were attaching to friends but not to dmg. Now they will dmg the area but not hurt friendlies
1000 Yard stare – Most popular gun. Going to remove a couple of bullets out of the inventory.
Quilems Terminus – Reduced the inventory on this gun.
Kings Fall weapons have faster reload speed. Auto rifle got a stability boost.
Side arms, if you swap away you will lose your special ammo.
Total inventory amount for LMG, Sniper and Shotguns has been lowered. In PVE you will find more special ammo bricks dropping.
