Destroying a Nintendo Switch | Replacing the Charging Port!

I bought a Nintendo Switch on Ebay for £135. The issue was that the charging port would only charge on one side, and wouldn't work in a docking station. I tried several other chargers to test the theory, and could see slight damage on the port from a glance.

I decided to practice on a donor board that I have, and that went pretty well! I used a hot air station as well as soldering iron to successfully complete the job, before deciding it was time for the real deal. Did I bunckle under the pressure?
