Deterministic Dungeon is a really cool roguelike dungeon crawler based completely on the idea of randomness. For each action that the player makes, a random generator is employed to calculate the odds, which covers everything, including the layout of the dungeon, the number of enemies, individual attack success, and the loot that is found.
This is set on the foundation of the standard RPG game where the character can be equipped with weapons, armor, shield and scrolls, which are then used in combat. Along with cool retro graphics and an accompanying musical score, Deterministic Dungeon is a fun game made out of a wacky concept, but which simulates the old D&D gameplay feeling.
This Deterministic Dungeon video presents the gameplay from the first level to the third, where the first boss is engaged and defeated.
