Detroit Evolution Speed Edit (Adobe Premiere Speed Edit)
578In case you've ever wanted a behind the scenes look at the post production process, here is a speed edit at 300% speed of one small part of DE that I worked on in ADOBE PREMIERE 2017. Keep an eye on that clock in the bottom right hand corner lol, if you want to see how long such a small part of the movie took to edit in real time.
The truth is, I was this meticulous with all 41 scenes. It starts with separating all the footage and grouping it by line. Then I watch the lines back to back and choose my favorite take of each one. I experiment with different pairings of the footage before and after it to find the version I like best. A lot of times I'll finish a scene and do multiple passes where I swap out different takes, once it's all in front of me. You can also see what an annoyance sound editing is too, lol, as the sound is in green.
