Leina's final attack will raise boss defense by a lot unless the next attack is the 500 HP attack. A defense increase is very bad.

One way around this is to keep the bosses above 1500 until Deus's final attack comes. It should be easy to get them to 500 when he uses it.

Another way to avoid the defense increase is to get them close to 1000 before the 2000 avoidance gets triggered. You will have 100% control over which attack gets chosen after leaving the avoidance. If the screen is red, just let Deus launch his final attack. If the screen is blue, get them below 1000 to trigger the red avoidance.
