DEUS EX MACHINA - THE GREATEST GAME YOU NEVER PLAYED was written by the entrepreneur, software pioneer and self-proclaimed founder of the British games industry Mel Croucher. It details how he made a truly multimedia game for 8-bit computers, combining unique mini-games with audio recordings of famous voices (including Iain Dury, Jon Pertwee and Frankie Howerd).

After years in the website industry, Mel found the financing to take another attempt at making Deus Ex Machina 2. And that story is filled with more famous faces including Christopher Lee, and some incredibly difficult times for Mel himself.
