The third-person action-adventure game Days Gone takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world. Players control Deacon St. John, an outlaw-turned-drifter-turned-bounty-hunter who prefers life on the road to wilderness encampments. In the game, humanity has almost all been wiped out in a pandemic two years ago, transforming millions into "Freakers," mindless, zombie-like creatures that evolve quickly.
