Devil Engine 1cc Very Hard 459,021 - Switch

I had some super close runs yesterday - including one where I was seconds away from nailing it despite being very inexperienced with the final boss fight(s).
That being said, I knew the following day could very well be when I got it and I've now finally secured my 1cc on Very Hard mode after 20 days of learning and grinding things out.
I didn't necessarily know whether this would be the run or not but I didn't lose a life until the stage 4 boss so I felt the run had some serious potential.
The fumbles against the stage 4 boss are sometimes up in the air. I his horizontally moving sphere attack doesn't have me moving a lot, then typically I can take out his first phase before the teleporting jab attacks nail me. Sometimes I do this fight flawlessly but for the most part, I go in anticipating 1-2 lives used.
I've gotten way better at stage 5 as a whole. In fact, the tunnel section used to end my runs due to having no clue how to efficiently deal with that place. Just yesterday I finally decided to buckle down and study the layout by recording that section specifically and within a short period, I was already so much more confident and learned a simple trick that I hadn't been utilizing before that. As for this run, I can typically do the tunnel without taking a single or using missiles but this time I definitely had some slip-ups.
I definitely aim to tackle Expert mode now though haven't decided if I'll go all in and exclude everything else like I usually do or approach it more casually since focusing on some other games might be refreshing. Time will tell.
Anyway, I still have much to learn in terms of how I approach all of Stage 6 on Very Hard but I'm stoked to have secured this!
