So, if you have an old Samsung DEX Station base station unit, which you obviously can't connect your new Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 to. You can still use your DEX Station with your Galaxy Tab S8 by simply connecting them together with a male USB C to female USB C extender cable.
This will give you a connection over HDMI for your Tab S8 to your TV or monitor and will also give you two USB ports, ethernet for wired internet connection and all power via the USB C power socket on the DEX Station.
At the very least this video will show you one way on how to connect a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 to a HDMI monitor or TV.
Once all connected you will have your Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 connected to your TV or computer monitor via HDMI. This will allow you to use the Tab S8 in mirroring mode or in Samsung DEX mode.
Samsung DEX mode will give a desktop environment for your Tab S8 and with a wired internet connection, mouse and keyboard via USB and some external SSD storage via USB, you will effectively have turned your Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 into a desktop PC.
This also works for the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
