DFFOO GL (Act 2 Chapter 9: The Destroyed Square Pt.2 CHAOS) CoD, Porom, WoL
Leviathan Summon, Keiss EX+3LB friend
Note: All 3 characters are EX+3LB with their bloom passives and their spheres. CoD has her character boards.
If you don't have a unit to deal with HP Silence and prevent the boss from acting, the other way is to tank the damage. The boss is immune to lock so you can't get the boss or Centurion Blade to target the tank, thus monitor the BRV is crucial. I have deployed Porom for her useful 20% damage mitigation buff from her Mysidia Brilliance (S2) or White Wave (EX). Even with WoL's shields up, the Centurion Blade will shred up the shields HP very fast, so he ends up having to burn his skills faster than expected.
Wave 1: Skull Wizard, Lich (completed on turn 37)
- Keep WoL's HP maxed to get his Class Change Boost passive activated for the boss wave. You should be quite familiar with the boss' mechanics by now.
Wave 2: Tyrant + Centurion Blade (completed on turn 86)
- Keep the shields up and spread the use periodically. WoL can't lock the mechanical beast as it is immune to Lock. However, his shield are still useful against the boss' recast ability to prevent breaks.
- CoD is very useful here for her delays which allows you to have some breathing space to prepare for the next big hit. Her S2 delays both targets by 1 turn while her special S2 (need 5 orbs of Darkness) delays the targeted unit by 3 turns. Her EX also delays the target by 1 turn while dealing with a tremendous amount of damage.
The lesser amount of turns that the boss gets, the higher the chance of survival for the party. I swap out WoL (when his skills are running low) for friend Keiss and use Hero Support to launch the boss to oblivion. Just keep an eye that Arciela HP silence is up and you will be fine.
For me, Porom's confusion has a better hit rate these days. So she did her part in delay those HP attacks as well. Her overheads and damage mitigation buff will save the party. The turn count is quite tight and it is always difficult to meet the turn count with Porom in the party as she is not a turn efficient unit.
The debuffs from Cobalt Wall can be crippling your team. So have your party buffs to push them off. It is fortunate that the party can deploy 4 framed buffs (every unit with their 2 own unique buffs, Leviathan BRV regen when HP falls below 80%, Porom's 20% damage Mitigation buff) so a debuff immunity unit is not really required for the team.
