DFFOO GL (Despair Gathering from Afar CHAOS) Sazh, Porom, Trey
Chocobo summon, Shantotto BT friend (not used)
Note: All 3 characters are EX+3LB. Sazh and Trey have their enhancement boards. Sazh has his sphere, Alphinaud (RF), and Kain (RF) sphere. Porom has her bloom passive. Trey has the following spheres - his own, Kain (RF) and Irvine (RF)
Wave 1: Exdeath, Planesgorger (completed on turn 78)
Score: 1,000k
Since Exdeath loves to take the party's BRV and damage our party, I give them all he wants. With Sazh extending Porom's damage mitigation buff from her S2+ and EX (White Wave). You can just watch the crying and the traps exploding. Trey's instant break debuff makes sure that there is no BRV that you can't shave even the boss have those annoying BRV damage reduction aura.
Believe it or not, these 3 characters will still be viable when LUFENIA kicks start despite none of them having their LD (Trey will get his one first when his LC comes). They have the means to counter the BRV reduction aura. The bosses will start to resist BRV damage than those sucky auras. Your damage will be hampered and the only way to break them is to use your new toys LD. However, these 3 characters will help to expand your team building options. The turn count is tight since it is geared for our new toys. I have to time my launches well in order to get the turn count.
Trey - His instant break debuff from his EX is very useful to guarantee breaks. Regardless of the BRV that the bosses have, you can break it easily. His Traps does a lot of off turn damage. However when his traps trigger he will also get exposed to breaks. it is best to bring him with a tank so he can safely fire his arrows.
Sazh - His powerful buffs and 100% critical damage will ensure you have some chance of shaving and break the enemy. His buff extension from his Attack Boost is very useful. His extending of Porom's 2T DMG mitigation buff from her S2+ or EX is crucial for the fight. He has a lot of high turn rate abilities, so don't spam them when you don't want to move his turn forward.
Porom - She is still a budget unit when the CHAOS era begins (despite not having an EX+). She is still viable for upcoming content despite she doesn't have an LD. Trey's traps ensure she can dump her BRV efficiently
Additional Notes on the bosses.
On the Planesgorger
The Planegorger will start with its first turn using Crystal Wave (BRV Gain, HP attack, guaranteed hit). So be prepared to heal once you get your turn. Its BRV attack is mainly Energy Shot (ST, BRV, high turn rate upon break), Crystal Crush (ST, removes non-framed buff), Blast Wave (ST, high turn rate upon break). It has another AOE HP attack (Air Drive, which is also BRV gain and a guaranteed hit). Keep it broken or its BRV low or you will get hit by its Tail Spear HP attack.
On Exdeath
The Exdeath first AOE attack is Grand Cross, which steals 1/2 of your party BRV and returns back to your party as an HP attack. So dump your BRV or keep your BRV low. It will use mainly AOE attacks - Black Hole (AOE BRV, inflicts Sap). Its main BRV attack is Vaccum Wave (reduce BRV to 1/5 and recover BRV based on BRV damage dealt). In between turns after it uses Black Hole, it uses the Almagest HP attack (Increase BRV, HP attack, inflicts DEF Down). It will use Sylvan Bounty to buff itself with ATK and BRV Regen buff. It can be problematic if your party is inflicted with the Sap from its Black Hole. Due to this combo, It can gain ~12k BRV per turn. Push off the buffs with your debuffs (Lilisette (Sap and Magic Attack Down debuff, Maria (Explode debuff), and Alphinaud (Poison and Poison aura from his Shadowflare) or try to use buffs to push off. Units that can do dual actions in 1 turn is very useful in their BRV in check.
