DFFOO [GL] The Terse Turk: TCC X-Treme Challenge [Exdeath Saga #1] (Exdeath, Setzer, Gladio)
Showcase of Exdeath right before his rework and BT in Global. Sezter really helps with the off turn damage here, giving Gladio rainbows with Fixed Dice. Another benefit of the Fixed Dice buff is a party attack aura, greatly boosting Exdeath's Off turn damage, as his HP saps scale off his attack stat.
Brought the Hope and WoL call's so that I could keep 6 framed buffs on the party at all times. Both of Hope's calls also extend party buffs by one turn, helping Gladio's LD buff stay up for the duration of the fight.
I let some of the call buffs fall off Gladio since, as long as his LD buff is up, he is "immune" to debuffs. With the Fixed Dice buff from Sezter, this man's off turn damage is ridiculous in a 3 man fight due to the splash. Gave him the Kurasame call since he would be the one who would benefit the most out of the base calls self enchant effect.
Main difference between this run and my non X-treme run was removing all the speed passives of everyone in the party, and using Setzer's EX. I initially didn't use it much because the damage split was kind of low, and my party was almost always sitting at max brave. Turns out his EX extends all of his buffs by one turn, greatly increasing the longevity of the call buffs, which let me last long enough to DPS the bosses down.
Ifrit summon was there solely to raise Exdeath's attack stat. Odin wouldn't have triggered due to Gladio + WoL shields. The case could be made that I should have brought Shiva due to the increased recast rate, but I think the increase to the attack stat, and thus the HP saps, was more impactful then a couple extra EX casts.
This party didn't showcase some of the additional utility in Exdeath's kit however. The attack downs on his debuffs make bosses hit extremely weak, and his EX gives all enemies a one turn debuff causing their next HP attack to deal 0 damage, and then sets their brave to zero
