DFFOO [JP] Out of Synergy Arciela & Selphie stacking iBrv and mBrv regen on a Lv.80 Y'shtola lol
10Imagine caring about the iBrv requirement for Y'shtola's when everyone just regen to full each round lol, and this is with her being a Lv.80 character with no inherit BRV gain on armor or extension.
This started with the idea of utilizing Arciela's newly boosted iBRV regen on her EX buff and fast cast brv recovery to ibrv. They smashed Cid Raine's LC with Shadow with around 50K regen. So I set out to find a 3rd partner. It proved a bit difficult with the iBrv units that I have because they tend to have a lot of buffs that would overwrite Selphie's generic ibrv buff.
Enter Y'shtola who only has 2 buffs currently and is about to get Lv.90 in 2 days. She regened 80K+ at the start of the fight inside of her BT phase without having the BT+ effect already with an additional 80% ibrv buff from Noctis. At max she regened for 131542 and becomes steady late into the fight at around 100K.
Also bear in mind the fact that she cannot currently use Ultima Weapon, so she can get even more ibrv and mbrv soon for extra spicy meme regen lol.
Arciela
Maybe it was the brv reduction that started in mid Lufenia, it never occurred to me that Arciela is actually quite good in launch comps. Currently on JP Her Harmonic Displacement HP+ with ascension stance can battery pretty much all the way to full just with 20% BRV gain up, similarly with her EX. The fast cast buff can also make people regen to ibrv every other turn, so even in the absence of someone like Selphie or Keiss, there is some off-turn battery. On character's turn, her ascension buff gives 40% and EX buff gives 100% iBrv regen now, so it is exceptionally helpful to characters with inherit BRV gain from EX extension II.
Her BRV dmg seems to be all good and well even outside of synergy with just UW 0. Her lowest performing attacks are her stances, but you don't spam them most of the time anyways. Most of her other attacks (only Darkest hour doesn't) have BRV refund, hell Harmonic Displacement even has 50%. Seems to function well even with just 20% Brv gain up and feels good to use.
Obviously Y'shtola's regen is not attributed to Arciela only. In fact, Y'shtola's generic BRV regen buff already features 130% ibrv regen. Also Selphie gives 40% ibrv on Aura and 30% mBrv on LD buff. So Y'shtola having all the slots for these buffs and auras benefit alot more than the other two who has a lot more personal buffs. Not to mention that there is also the refund battery from launches due to Selphie (which should be the first green number).
This fight is at 90/70 reduction. Since BRV gain reduction is additive, this regen is not that far off from 90 reduction. You may not get 100K but you can definitely get back to orange brv with no effort.
It would seem that they are heading towards the direction of adding big % to iBrv scaling buffs and moves to compensate for the fact that iBrv has an lower innate value than the other stats. It still requires some stacking but you can certainly make it work in this era.
