A follow up mission to the first one, you have held out long enough for reinforcements in Mission 1, and now you are tasked with taking charge to rescue the civilians in the area and destroy the bridges to cut off the spread of the Giant Ants.

Also of note is that I really mention a lot of GDI talk in regards to the Giant Ant Missions - this mission in general highly feels like a GDI mission in how you go about your objectives.
