DFuxa Showcases - Pit Blocks 3D
1When I saw this game I knew I had to request a review key for it. Pit Blocks 3D, let's see if you can accomplish something that so many, many games have failed to do well.
This take on a 3D Tetris clone is not that bad I think. There is an element of difficulty obviously due to having to navigate pieces on 3 planes versus 2 and throwing in camera controls as well, but I could see this being somewhat enjoyable.
Basically the goal is to clear brick layers on a X, Y, AND Z axis all at once. You can rotate your bricks on all three planes, requiring a high degree of spatial awareness of the blocks and where you place them. I get quite far into it too so the difficulty is pretty well done from the looks of it as well. As time progresses a timer ticks down - upon reaching zero will send you to the next level (and speed up the drop rate of the blocks).
Check it tomorrow, it is suppose to release on the 27th of September, one day after the release date of this video.
