A complete and detailed DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft add-on for your copy of the Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release developed by the fantastic flight sim team at Aerosoft.
This model brings the Twin Otter (Twotter) to life in MSFS. It's built from the ground up using the brand new specification of MSFS 2020 and is not a port-over or conversion.
The DHC-6 Twin Otter is an aircraft you can literally take off or land anywhere and has been in service for so long with so few issues it has become a workhorse of the skies. It can land on short strips, and grass runways and is designed to go where the majority of aircraft of the same size cant.
The Twin Otter is capable of landing/taking off from;
Normal runways
Mudflats
Water (with floats included in this add-on pack)
Sand
Snow
Ice
It's also used in cold and Polar regions as it does well with cold temperatures. It's also used in extreme oxygen-deprived altitudes as well as tropical islands and alike.
This payware add-on pack includes many models of the Twin Otter including skies, tundra tires, and floats - it's capable of flying anywhere (and landing) within the MSFS platform.
Both cargo and passenger versions are included for both 100 and 300 models - they each have different engines which have been reflected in this add-on.
The add-on has been designed from the ground up using all of the latest graphics, and technical and mechanical features of the brand-new Microsoft simulator. It has high-performing (and optimized) modeling and 3D features compatible with all PC and Xbox versions of the simulator.
A complete sound pack has been included (custom) which has been crafted/edited in Wwise including over 300 spacially placed sounds.
The developer states "full use of decals" have been included to "save on texture memory" and they state the add-on itself is very light on system resources.
The aircraft model itself has a complex icing system that makes use of de-icing systems including electrical probes such as de-icing boots.
The entire fueling system has been included and is completely customizable however the developer states that they will update this when more features are made available in the MSFS SDK.
All of the models are high definition (HD) made exclusively for this brand-new sim. The aircraft also has full support for MSFS checklists.
Custom avionics are included and they include;
Garmin 430 all-in-one GPS/Nav/Comm solution
Bendix/King KR-87 ADF Receiver
Bendix/King KT-76C Transponder
Bendix/King KAP140 Autopilot
Intercontinental Altitude Alerter

Bendix/King KMA Audio Selector
Collins FD-112V Flight Director
