Gah! is a blend of hack'n'slash and roguelite. Choose a character, embark on an adventure, and battle monsters. Progress, upgrade your character, find items, and then... perish. But don't worry - no death is in vain; use your acquired resources to upgrade your village and unlock new characters.
The game is focused on short adventures (around one hour each), grouped into theme-related chapters. Each adventure offers a unique experience (even when replayed), thanks to procedurally generated levels and a touch of randomness in character development.
Lots of characters to choose from
At the beginning of the game, you will have access to 3 base characters: King, Sorcerer, and Rogue. However, as you progress, new characters will be unlocked.
Each chapter allows you to unlock additional 2 playable characters.
The environment... will change
You start in the dungeon, but soon you'll discover that objects from other worlds are beginning to enter your realm.
As you advance, you'll encounter enemies wielding unfamiliar weapons. Unlock playable characters who can wield these weapons themselves.
Choose your path
After each level, you'll have the opportunity to choose between two paths with different secondary objectives. Successfully completing them will reward you with additional loot.
Active skills
Each character possesses 4 unique abilities.
Additionally, every ability (basic, special, and auto-attack) has 4 potential upgrades (with 2 levels), and you can choose 2 upgrades per ability. Here's an example of the King's skill:
After leveling up, you'll select 1 upgrade from a set of randomly available options. You don't have to juggle skills, you choose your set and upgrade it.
Passive skills
Furthermore, there are 3 passive skill trees that you can unlock by collecting orbs from defeated enemies. Each tree contains 4 levels of skills, resulting in 8-10 skills per tree.

Game modes
The primary mode of Gah! is The Adventure, where you'll embark on a campaign, unlock new NPCs, upgrades, playable characters, and more.
Additionally, each level you complete will be unlocked for the second difficulty - The Nightmare. Completing levels on this difficulty unlocks more stuff for you :).
There are also different modes that can be unlocked during the Adventure!
