Before discussing further about the plot behind Assassin's Creed III, it's good if we tell the background of the American Revolutionary War to help you get a clearer picture. After the war between French and Indian troops ended in 1763, the 13 colonies that were formed in America then began to think about their destiny as a nation. One third of the colonies wished to rejoin England, become English, and declare their allegiance to King George III. They are referred to as The Loyalists. While another third wanted independence of its own and formed a new nation. This group is known as The Patriots. While another third announced their neutrality. This war to determine the fate of America is known as the American Revolutionary War.
Assassin's Creed III itself is positioned as a direct sequel to the Assassin's Creed: Revelations series which was released last year. The story will be opened from Desmond's point of view, who finally finds a place with The First Civilization technology, which has been touted as the only way to save the world, after the threat of a solar storm that has been warned since the first Assassin's Creed series. But of course, as can be predicted, this heroic journey is certainly never going to be easy. Desmond apparently needs a medal as a key to access this important technology. For this reason, Desmond must again enter the Animus and explore the memories of their ancestors.
However, memory does not necessarily bring Desmond to the figure of Connor Kenway, who has been promoted by Ubisoft. You will explore the memory of his father – Haytham Kenway who now holds the medal that Desmond is trying to get. With the key he got by killing one of the higher-ups in England, Haytham goes to Boston to find the "home" of this First Civilization. Houses he can unlock with this medal. Through the information of his loyal subordinates, Haytham discovered that this "door" was actually in the ancestral civilization of the Indian tribes. Something that prompted Haytham to side with them in the conflict with the invaders. His meeting with a brave Indian woman - Kaniehti:io certainly helps this main mission, but it turns out to be nothing. That happened? Haytham actually fell in love with her. The love that bears fruit from the main character that we use – Ratonhnhaké:ton.
