Released in 2018, Assassin's Creed Odyssey picks up a storyline 400 years before the rest of the series, thus making it the first Assassin's Creed title. Apart from implementing the open world format, Odyssey also applies RPG elements that have been implemented since the previous series.

Set in Ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War (431–404BC), players play Cassandra or Alexios, grandson of the king of Sparta Leonidas I. Against the Cult of Kosmos, players can interact with famous figures, such as Hippocratus, Socrates, and Plato. Players also enjoy Ancient Greek mythology, such as Medusa to Cyclops.

For the record, Odyssey existed before the formation of the Assassin and Templar orders. Even so, this series also brings up the Piece of Eden on Leonidas' spear. The Piece of Eden itself is an almighty artifact created by the First Civilization.
